Quran Burning: Radical vs. Radical

Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Center located in Gainesville, Florida said the church will go ahead with plans to burn copies of the Quran from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The date of the burning will be on 9/11 which marks the ninth anniversary of the attacks that killed thousands in New York. The issue has become controversial and many are denouncing  the act.

General Petraus strongly objects the burning and says the work and lives of all troops in Afghanistan will be jeopardized and Al Queda will use the burning of the Quran to promote and recruit in a worldwide scale. The Vatican has also denounced the ludicrous plan as quote “outrageous and grave.”

In conclusion, burning any Holy book will be considered an act of incitement  by the opposition. This moronic act will put all Americans and Christian lives in danger even more so now. Religion should not be used as a weapon for violence but for peace and those who use it for violence have no religious values.

Radical vs. Radical = death of many innocents. Stop the burning!

Author’s note: The word Quran can also be translated as Koran, Qur’ān, Coran or al-Qur’ān.
