First, I would like send out condolences to all families who are suffering because of the shooting that took place in Tucson, Arizona.
Now, I don’t want to start a gossip column but the more research I do on yesterday’s shooting the more I see a hate crime, to say the least. One look at Jared’s profile and Gifford’s background and there is no doubt one of the motives is hate.
Jared’s disturbing youtube channel describes the use of currency, this we all know. But, further down his channel you will see one of his favorite books is Mein Kampf. The book, Mein Kampf, is authored by Adolf Hitler and “uses the main thesis of “the Jewish peril”, which speaks of an alleged Jewish conspiracy to gain world leadership” (en.wikipedia.org). Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords is Jewish.
I also have no doubt in my mind disturbed individuals such as Jared lee Loughner are instigated by political opponents. For example, the target list with gun crosshairs on Sarah Palin’s website (which has been taken down on her site as well as freelance sites). An article in the Tracy Press on May 11, 2010 states “A Congressional candidate is backpedaling from a joke posted on a web page about hunting “liberals” that some voters in the 11th district found offensive.” The article also quoted Republican Brad Goehring posting on Facebook stating “If I could issue hunting permits, I would officially declare today opening day for liberals. The season would extend through November 2 and have no limits on how many taken as we desperately need to ‘thin’ the herd.”
We have been arguing the extreme approach of many Tea Party Republican members will one day be realized by some outraged fanatic, but to no avail. It’s despairing to note the only response to a call for action is when people fall victim to the circumstances. I hope the gunshots were loud enough for everyone to hear the words “STOP INCITING THE VIOLENCE!”
