Cuban-American Alex Meruelo: First Latino owner of an NBA Franchise

A defining moment in Sports history:

Alex Meruelo, owner of The Meruelo Group and LA Pizza Loca, has purchased a majority share of the Atlanta Hawks for an amount to be announced Monday. Meruelo, the New York-born son of Cuban immigrants who currently lives in Los Angeles, will become the first Hispanic owner of an NBA franchise.
