Saturday, September 10th with camera in hand we set out into Manhattan to visit the World Trade Center site and pay our respect to the fallen victims, our servicemen and women that have since perished and those that currently are serving overseas as a result of the 9.11 attacks. We were pleasantly surprised and happy to see the different ways people were marking the 10th year anniversary. In particular, at 43rd street between Madison and Fifth Avenue, Emigrants Bank was erecting a statue of a firefighter kneeling down that touched us very much.
We’ve compiled a slide show with some of the pictures we took as well as some others, from September 11, 2001, found on the web.
Our condolences go out to the families of the victims and may God bless everyone with peaceful thoughts.
