Bank of America’s and Wells Fargo’s Foreclosure Firm, The Steven J. Baum law firm will close after photos of its employees were publicly exposed mocking homeless victims of foreclosure at a Halloween bash. One of the employees went as far as holding a sign stating “3rd party squatter. I lost my home and I was never served.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, “the sign is meant to reflect “the typical excuse” of homeowners attempting to avoid a foreclosure proceeding.”
89 employees will be affected due to the firm’s closing after “losing mortgage giants Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, who cut ties with the firm in the wake of the Halloween scandal.”
Seems as if the sign might be of good use after all.
