Sergeant First Class Agustín Ramos Calero served with the 65th Infantry Regiment widely known as the “The Borinqueneers.” Calero was known as the “One Man Army” for receiving 22 decorations during World War II making him the most decorated U.S. Latino of the war.
Calero died on February 10, 1989 of cancer and was buried in the National Cemetery in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
