Brazilian Film Director José Padilha Resurrects RoboCop

One of the most well known sci-fi films of the late 80s has been resurrected, RoboCop, thanks to  Brazilian director José Padilha.

Padilha has scored big with his first fictional film in Brazil, Elite Squad coming in at Number 1 in 2007. The following year, Padilha won the highest prize awarded for best film at the Berlin International Film Festival, the Golden Bear for Elite Squad. But will he be able to bring back RoboCop’s success as the original 1987 film? Let’s hope so.
