W.H.E.E.L.S.’ Petition Against School Violence Pro Big Brother Big Sister

Students at Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning School (WHEELS) need our help in reaching their goal of 600 signatures (only 73 to go) on their petition to help stop school violence and become eligible for the Big Brother, Big Sister program. It’s free and takes just a few seconds of your time. Let’s do it familia!

This is an excerpt of the e-mail that we received from WHEELS’ Anthony Vargas.

School violence ranges from bullying, harassment to school shootings. The method of ending violence is by urging our local and state legislatures to implement the Big Brother Big Sister Program in our schools. This program has been proven to decrease the rate of violence within our schools along with providing a mentoring program for our youth. We, the undersigned, believe that another tragedy should not happen. We, the undersigned, seek to end all violence in our schools.
