New York (August 2, 2012) – Former New York Yankee catcher Jorge Posada and wife model, TV personality and philanthropist, Laura Posada open up in My Lifestyle Magazine’s September/October Empowerment issue. The Posadas posed for photographer Manolo Doreste and sat down with our Managing Editor Carlos Anaya during an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of their Miami mansion for a revealing interviewing about career transition, strengthening the family and tips for self-empowerment.

Revered as one of the most respected power-couple match, Jorge and Laura’s marriage continues to evolve. As Jorge enjoys his first summer in retirement after playing 17 seasons and winning five World Series Championships with the New York Yankees; Laura continues to build her television career. From co-hosting the daily show “Tu Vida Más Simple” (Life Made Simple) to co-producing and hosting “Manual de Superviviencia con Laura Posada” (Survival Guide with Laura Posada), both on the Utilísima Network; Laura is bound for superstardom. Don’t let their glamorous lifestyle fool you though. The Posadas are also actively involved in strentghening their reach to the community through their foundation. The Jorge Posada Foundation is a non-profit organization established by Laura and Jorge Posada in honor of their son and his successful struggle with Craniosynostosis. Craniosynostosis is a condition that affects 1 out of every 2,000 births in the United States. Early surgical intervention by a multi-disciplinary team of doctors is the key to effective treatment of the condition.
“In this day and age, you can’t be selfish. You really need to have your priorities in order. There are things you want to accomplish as individuals and priorities that are important for the family,” explains Laura alongside Jorge in their family room. The Posadas believe taht the essence of their relationship is communication and family which includes their two children – Jorge Luis, 12 and Paulina, 9.
