Ron Rivera First Latino Named NFL Coach of the Year

Ron RiveraCarolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera made history today when he was named 2013 NFL coach of the year by Associated Press, making him the first Latino to win the award. Rivera is only one of three Latinos in history to coach an NFL team.

The Panthers also rewarded Rivera after leading his team to a 12 game win season with a three-year extension.
